Iowa and New Hampshire are the wrong states to kick off the Democratic primary season. Leading with these states prioritizes white voters over everyone else.
We demand that the diverse states of South Carolina and Nevada vote first in the Democratic primary calendar, before Iowa and New Hampshire.
It's time for the Democratic Party to stop losing winnable elections and embrace the women of color we need to win. There is no path to the White House without us and it is time that the primary calendar reflect Democratic voters.
