The Summit

She the People's three-year initiative kicked off with its inaugural She the People Summit on September 20, 2018 at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco. The sold-out, first-ever national summit of women of color in politics drew nearly 600 attendees, mostly women of color, from 36 states.

It was an unprecedented convening of women of color who are transforming U.S. politics, and leading the nation as leaders, voters, and strategists.

"Throughout that day I heard from young and old that, for most of us, it was the first time being in such a warm, loving, inclusive and powerful room," says She the People Founder, Aimee Allison.

The all-star line-up of powerful speakers included Rep. Barbara Lee; Rep. Pramila Jayapal; activists Linda Sarsour, Dolores Huerta and Alicia Garza, and candidates Deb Haaland and Rashida Tlaib, among many others.

THANK YOU

To all of you who attended, and to all of our sponsors and partners, thank you for making the first She the People Summit such a huge success! Please sign up for updates and stay tuned for exciting next steps.
